In partnership with NBC News and Safeway, Kiwanis members will be working outside Safeway locations in Blackhawk as well as Alamo, Dougherty Valley and San Ramon to help promote the annual food drive. Shoppers can make cash donations and/or buy a $10 bag of food inside the store to donate. Food and cash donations will be delivered to the Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano counties in Concord.
