WHERE DO SPONSOR DONATIONS GO?
The Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley, through its affiliate San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation, began soliciting sponsorships for the Kiwanis Annual 4th of July Parade in the mid-1990's as a means of funding the club's grants program. Since then, more than $1,000,000 has been raised and awarded through the Kiwanis grants program, benefiting nearly 80 nonprofits in the San Ramon Valley area, including over $50,000 in the last year alone.
Each year, we receive 30-35 grant applications for committee review, including 3-5 new applicants. All applicants must be IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofits and priority is given to organizations whose mission directly serves the residents of the San Ramon Valley region.
