Your Donation makes a local difference
Thank you for your interest in supporting our cause through a financial donation. Dozens of local nonprofits rely on grants from the Kiwanis Club of San Ramon Valley to fund projects that would otherwise go unrealized. The SRV Kiwanis Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3); donations are tax-deductible and 100% of funds will be used for grants or service projects in the San Ramon Valley area.
A donation of $25-$50 may help fund things like:
Psychosocial services for a cancer patient
Parenting education services for at-risk families
Handmade quilts for children in local hospitals
A holiday meal and gift for 15 Veteran families and children
Counseling for at-risk youth
Books for a 2nd grade classroom
A donation of $50-$100 MAY HELP FUND THINGS LIKE:
Support groups for families of children with disabilities
Camp tshirts, journals, and bags for 15 children in crisis
500 holiday meals for needy households
Maintenance of trailer used to transport horses to visit children with special needs
Make a Difference Today with a Qualified Charitable Distribution to the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation
We value the tremendous support provided over the past 50 years. We would like to share an opportunity that could benefit both individuals and the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation. Individuals age 70½ or older can make a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) directly from your IRA to the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation, without it being counted as taxable income. This strategy is not only a smart way to support the Foundation’s mission, but it may also reduce your taxable income for the year. Better yes, QCDs can be distributed directly from your IRA Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) which reduces your income over and above the standard deduction. As always, check with your tax advisor.
Your contribution will help us continue our important work supporting local education and scouting programs, community service projects, and non-profit organizations in your community that benefit the San Ramon Valley. Whether it’s providing scholarships, organizing service projects, or supporting local charities, your gift will make a lasting impact.
Here’s how you can make a QCD to the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation:
Contact your IRA Custodian: Request a direct transfer from your IRA to the San Ramon Valley Kiwanis Foundation.
Direct it to our Foundation: Provide your custodian with our Foundation’s tax ID number 24-0244834 and the donation amount. Mail your check to the address below.
Confirm your Gift: Once the donation is made, please notify us at info@srvkiwanis.org or 925-272-8207 so we can send you a thank-you letter and proper acknowledgment.
A QCD is a powerful and tax-efficient way to make a meaningful contribution to the causes you care about, all while minimizing the impact on your income taxes.
